Let me start off by saying that the female orgasm is a real thing. I've met more than a few women and men who don't believe that women can actually orgasm. Well, I'm here to tell you, we can, and it's not as complicated as it may sound. There is a lot of misconception around how to achieve orgasm, however, and I would like to help you sort through some common myths.

Women can only achieve orgasm by clitoral stimulation: FALSE

Women can achieve orgasm in MANY ways, however, a study done in 2017 found that just about 40% of women do need clitoral stimulation to climax. Women can also reach orgasm through G-spot stimulation, deep penetration, nipple stimulation, and anal sex.

Women can achieve orgasm through physical stimulation alone: FALSE

For women, our ability to orgasm is 100% mental. If our head isn't in the game, we ain't crossing that finish line! That's why foreplay is so important! 10-15 minutes of quality foreplay can help to build anticipation and excitement for both partners and lead to better, more intense orgasms. Check out this blog post on how to give a fantastic foreplay massage. You're welcome.

A woman cannot reach climax if she is not naturally wet: FALSE

While becoming wet can be a sign of arousal, it doesn't actually correlate with a woman's ability to orgasm at all. Women's level of moisture is influenced by many different things including age, whether or not they have ever given birth and how far postpartum they are, whether or not they are nursing, medications, stress, what stage of their menstrual cycle they are in, and more. Being moist does generally make sex more pleasurable for both men and women, so if you do struggle to become moist on your own, I would recommend Just Like Me by Pure Romance. It's a water based lubricant with a re-wetting formula that mimics your body's natural moisture.

A woman cannot become pregnant without achieving orgasm: FALSE

A woman can ABSOLUTELY get pregnant regardless of whether or not she climaxed. If you do not wish to become pregnant, your best bet is to use contraception.
